Formal Description
Art Alley Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that is based on the concept that the creative process involved in the making of art is an alley to healing and life enhancement and that the over-worked and overwhelmed adult population will benefit from this art-based therapy program. The concept of Art Alley is designed in order to expand to include adolescent and children clientele as well.
Art Alley is a safe, non-threatening, and healing space where an individual can go to de-stress and rejuvenate through the creative arts process. With hectic, fast paced, modern lives, people forget to take the time to stop and do something positive for themselves and thus stress-related illnesses have become a leading health problem and causes physical and psychological reactions with negative consequences. It has been estimated, that 75-90 percent of all visits to primary care physicians are associated with unresolved stress related issues. The best thing a person can do for themselves is to first acknowledge they are under stress; but more importantly is committing to engage in activities that will reduce stress and Art Alley is designed for this purpose, providing an art as therapy studio space.

I am often available on Thursday evenings from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, but I am also willing to discuss weekend nights. There is always a variety of provided art supplies for the individual to create either self directed and/or organized art directives/themed nights as a registered Art Therapist/licensed clinicial professional counselor will be on sight in order to process and give direction during operating hours, if an individual so desires help. The individual may work on a project on an ongoing basis or complete a piece in one evening. Specialty workshops will also be offered; days and time to be determined, however, they will not interfere with the standing Tuesday/Wednesday schedule. A $15.00 suggested donation fee will be charged per session on a sliding scale basis, with the expectation the individual will need to pay something, as research shows if a person has to pay for a program they tend to be more invested and gain more benefits.
If an individual/group/couple wish to receive private therapy this may also be arranged, prices will very depending on the type of therapy being requested. Individual therapy session will be $90.00 an hour, couples therapy $125.00 an hour, and group prices to be determined, but again all fees will be on a sliding scale consideration with a set minimum. Insurance is not being taken at this time. Come experience the healing Art Alley Inc. has to offer as it may just change your life!!
